Jack of all Trades

Huh…! Jack of all Trades is just like a rolling stone that gathered no moss. That’s what most people says. I’ll agreed to that and I think most of you also will agreed.

But to me, to be born as a Jack of all trades will give you a very vast experience in life and it’s make life more interesting and kicking high. Beside that it will make you more matured and will give you a lots of confidence in tackling life.

Maybe some will agreed and some will not. That doesn’t matter to me. But…can you imagine one person that was born with so called golden spoon…start schooling from the primary school, then goes to secondary school and then further studies to higher learning institution then graduated and start working with the same company or department from day one until he retires. Is there any life with him?

I met one professor from a university, after hearing my life as Jack of all trades with up and down, he kept silence for while. After taking his breath, he saluted me for been very tough in life. He admitted, to be Jack of all trades, ones got to go through in life with full of obstacles not only like the roller coaster but it’s more of Camel Trophy jungle expedition…hahaha.

Will you believe me that I started my career as a site-supervisor in the building constructions, then goes into direct selling. Yes, I really mean direct selling. I’ve to go canvassing, knocking house to house selling vacuum cleaner. It’s tough but it’s life…it’s interesting, especially everyday you met people from all walk of life.

Been involved in car racing and mixing with the car enthusiasts, my love of cars make me switch my job into car line. Started from rank and file selling from the Japanese cars to the hydro-pheumatic suspension French lady and then into the hydraulic tippers lorries and last but not least into the Ultimate Driving Machine BMW’s cars.

That’s only the beauty of part of life. The ugly part of it, is to do anything just to earn a living. But with all these experiences, it’s make me tough and rugged. It is just as I was recruited into the country boxing squad for the S.E.A.P Games and then involved in motorcycle racing, car racing, car rally, 4WD adventure, played squash for the state team and become a golf hustler. Hahaha…that’s life, isn’t it?

How I Turn To Be A Scriptwriter

If you remember, I did mentioned that I’m Jack of all Trades. Well, everything will turns up for every human when they are desperate. They will do anything for money. Of course that is a good way and bad way of getting money. But what I’m talking here is of course the good way. To earn a honest living.

Like I said, when you are an executive in a big firm with a respectable income and live very comfortably but suddenly you are retrenched and out of a job. What will happen to you? How are you going to handle it? Can you cope up?

To me this is where you need to have a very strong will power to accept the situation. Not every human can take this. Like for an example, one of my very close friend died a few months after he was out of his job. Reason being he cannot accept it and start pressurized himself. He just couldn’t take the stress to be out of job. May God bless him.

When your saving is drying out, your credit cards been canceled by banks, anyway you still got to feed your family. So by hook or by crook you got to do something to earn money.

With the retrenchment compensation that been paid to me, I was a bit greedy and invested the money into something but finally ended with nothing. So it left me real penniless. I’ve to borrow from friends to buy food for my family. Real bad, isn’t it?

Until one day, one of my close friend, Zainal Buang Hussein, who happen to be a very popular cartoonist, advise me to write script. But how am I going to do it? I never attended any courses on script writing.

But when that’s a will, that’s a way to do it. That was 15 years ago…and now I’m still writing scripts.

What more with the current world economy downturn…anything can happen to anybody.

Brochure Photostat MLM

Satu Penemuan Baru Dalam Hidup

Kerana menjumpai sekeping brochure photostat MLM memberikan saya satu penemuan baru dalam hidup. Tetapi sebenarnya saya dah penat dan serik dengan MLM. Dah terlampau banyak sangat keluar masuk dalam bisnes MLM ini tanpa memberikan apa-apa hasil, bahkan sebaliknya modal banyak yang lebur. Setiap bulan nak cukup kouta terpaksa beli barang. Bila barang tak terjual, nak pakai sendiri pun dah banyak sangat sehingga akhirnya tamat tempuh lalu terpaksa buang ke tong sampah.

Pada awalnya memang excited giler bila masuk MLM ni. Apatah lagi bila tengok upline yang berjaya setiap bulan income mereka masuk puluhan ribu. Kita pun mulalah berangan nak capai level macam. Mulalah bekerja keras nak cari downline. Kempen sana kempen sini. Tapi sorang pun tak nak masuk bawah kita. Sudahnya semangat yang berkobar-kobar tadi terus malap dan padam macam pelita ayam ditiup angin.

Dalam pada itu, pernah juga saya bersembang dengan seorang kawan. Suatu masa dulu top-top level MLM bukan main gah lagi, tapi sekarang dah tak buat bisnes itu lagi, sedangkan syarikat yang mereka wakili masih berdiri kukuh. Dulu heboh dah tak nak berlakon atau menyanyi kerana nak tumpu pada bisnes yang tengah ligat. Tapi selepas itu nampak muka muncul baik kat TV atau kat pentas.

Kita berbalik pada brochure photostat tadi. Ceritanya bermula masa arwah mak saya baru keluar dari hospital kerana terkena serangan ‘angin ahmar’. Bila tengok keadaan dia dengan mulutnya dah senget serta tangan dan kakinya sebelah dah lembek, kitapun naik kesian juga.

Kami adik beradik mulalah ikhtiar cari tukang urut. Manalah tahu kot boleh baik. Di mana orang kata ada tukang urut yang baik, kami pergi atau bawa tukang urut datang rumah. Biasanya bila bawa tukang urut ke rumah, chargenya mulalah berganda-ganda. Tak apa, asalkan mak sembuh. Tak tak juga baik.

Apabila kawan bagitahu ada pakar angin ahmar di Gua Musang, kami bawa dia datang ke KL walaupun harganya tinggi. Tetapi apabila pakar ni kata mak saya ada ‘dampingan’ dan ‘terkena badi’, kami mula kelu dan keliru. Antara percaya dan tidak, bila dia minta kami sediakan ‘barang-barang’ yang diperlukan untuk berubat, kami turut saja. Tapi mak saya tak sembuh juga. Mulutnya masih senget dan kaki dengan tangannya masih lembek.

Sehinggalah suatu hari saya terjumpa kat dalam surat khabar sekeping brochure photostat MLM tentang satu jenis ubat yang HEBAT boleh menyembuhkan apa saja jenis penyakit termasuklah angin, ahmar, saya mula tertarik.

Saya baca setiap patah ayat yang tertulis kat brochure tu. Saya mula yakin bahawa ubat ini boleh sembuhkan mak saya. Saya pun sms pada nama yang ada kat brochure tu. Selang setengah jam, dia call saya. Katanya dia sekarang di Johor Bharu dan 4 hari lagi baru dia naik ke KL. Kami buat temu-janji.

Sampai masa, dia call saya bagitahu dia dah sampai KL. Kami berjanji berjumpa di sebuah restoran di USJ Taipan. Dia kenalkan dirinya. Katanya dia dulu pegawai bank. Dia berhenti kerja selepas 4 bulan buat bisnes MLM ni. Dia bagi saya cuba sample ubat dan tunjuk laporan-laporan scientist dan pakar pemakanan dari seluruh dunia tentang nutrisi itu.

Saya semakin yakin. Saya terus minta nak isi borang. Tapi dia pula minta fikir dulu kerana katanya kalau nak masuk memang mahal sikit dan harga ubatnya pun agak mahal. Saya jawab tak apa, saya sanggup berapa saja harganya asalkan mak saya sembuh.

Alhamdulillah, selepas 10 hari kami bagi mak ubat itu, dia sembuh dan dah boleh berjalan. Semua ahli keluarga macam tak percaya. Macam ada satu kuasa ajaib datang menyembuhkan penyakit mak saya. It’s a great miracle. Alhamdulillah syukur…!

Tetapi selepas mak saya dapat tahu harga ubat itu mahal, dia mula liat nak makan. Katanya dia kesiankan saya kerana terpaksa keluar duit banyak-banyak untuk beli ubat itu. Kami pujuk dia yang kami adik-beradik berkongsi bayar harga ubat itu. Tapi hati dia keras. Setiap kali bibik nak bagi dia makan, dia mengelak.

Namun dalam usianya yang sudah melebihi 80 tahun dan berbagai penyakit lain ada…darah tinggi, kencing manis dan jantung, dia sekali kali terpaksa dimasukkan ke hospital.

Dalam rawatan kali ini, doktor berbisik pada kami adik-beradik bahawa paru-paru mak kami dah dimasuki air dan minta kami bawa balik ke rumah. Selang 2 bulan selepas itu, dalam keadaan dirinya yang sudah nazak, pada 1hb Mei lalu dia telah menghembuskan nafasnya yang terakhir di sisi kami adik beradik. Al-Fatihah untuk arwah mak kami.
